The Currituck Chamber of Commerce Board of the Directors have named Denise Hall, Register of Deeds of Currituck County, to an At Large seat of the Board of Directors.
Long time Currituck County resident, Hall, was tapped by the Chamber due to her community support and knowledge of the local community. As Register of Deeds, Hall works with businesses starting in the county by filing paperwork to protect their name with an Assumed Name form. Hall has updated technology in the Register of Deeds office making it easier for businesses to search records. She has implemented cost saving measures, started paperless secured record retention which alleviates storage and paper cost, and put a fraud alert protection system in place at no charge to taxpayers.
Having worked for various municipalities, including an Emergency Operations Manager, Registrar of Deeds for the county, and small business owner, Denise brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a passion for business to the Chamber. Along with her husband, Mike, of 32 years, her daughter, Kelsey, Denise has resided in Currituck for 20 years. In her off-time Denise enjoys working and showing her dogs, Irish Settlers and Chinese Cresteds, in dog shows around the state and the country.
Currently, Hall serves as a Chamber Ambassador as well as serving on the Currituck Education Foundation Board. She is a past member of the Currituck County Airport Advisory and Animal Lovers Assistance League Boards. Hall is a former Currituck Chamber Presidents Award winner.
As Register of Deeds Hall has worked with the County Veterans Advisory Board to identify and promote Veteran owned businesses. Hall realizes that when businesses and their prospective employees look to relocate into an area, that technological advances are one of the many things they look at, and since taking office she has worked diligently to bring these advances into our county.
Please join us in welcoming Denise Hall as one of our newest board members.
