Albemarle Area United Way is excited to announce our newest Board of Directors. They are making a difference by joining the ranks of other community leaders with the goal of helping people reach their full potential in the Albemarle Area.
Officially starting their terms on July 1, 2022 are the following nine new Board of Directors: Bryan Spence, Chris Ruffieux, Phillip Jackson, Jamar Whitaker, Scott Sullens, Tiffany Hinton, Annalisa Morgan, Holly White, and Arthur Manigault. Wonderful people who will bring a diverse set of skills and talents to Albemarle Area United Way. Please join us in congratulating and thanking them!
Bryan L. Spence
Welcome Bryan L. Spence to the Board of Directors of Albemarle Area United Way. We are excited for the outlook and insight that he will bring to our United Way. Bryan L. Spence works at LinkedIn as a Senior Program Manager. He is also a licensed Realtor with Rose and Womble in Moyock, NC.
Chris Ruffieux
We are pleased to welcome Chris Ruffieux to the team here at Albemarle Area United Way. he will be joining Albemarle Area United Way as a Board Of Director. Mr. Ruffieux worked at Gannett where he was Vice President Of Infrastructure. He has over 20 years in senior management and leadership, while also having served as an Elizabeth City Councilman representing the 2nd Ward.
Phillip E. Jackson
Albemarle Area United Way is pleased to welcome Phillip E. Jackson onto our Board Of Directors. Phillip E. Jackson is the President of Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City. Mr. Jackson also served as the Campaign Chair system wide for Sentera’s United Way Campaign for 2021.
Jamar Whitaker
We are glad to announce the addition of Jamar Whitaker to the AAUW Board of Directors.. Jamar Whitaker is the EMS Operations Manager for Pasquotank Camden EMS. Mr. Whitaker has served on many other committees and boards during his career. His experience and servant’s heart will bring a positive and engaging outlook to the team
Scott C. Sullens
Welcome Scott C. Sullens to the Albemarle Area United Way Board team where he will be joining the Board Of Directors. Mr. Sullens works at Biggs Cadillac Buick GMC in Elizabeth City where he is the Finance Manager for the company. He was immediate past President of the Elizabeth City Morning Rotary Club.
Tiffany Hinton
Please join us in welcoming one of our newest Board Of Directors, Tiffany Hinton. Tiffany Hinton works at Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), where she is the Assistant Dean of Student Development on campus. Tiffany Hinton brings a vibrant perspective to the Albemarle Area United Way Board.
Holly E. White
We would like to welcome Holly E. White Albemarle Area United Way Board. Holly E. White works as Vice President-Branch Manager at Atlantic Union Bank in Edenton NC. Holly has served on many boards and committee involvement in Edenton NC. Her past experience as well as her service on the Community Care Collaborative Advisory Committee will bring plenty of ideas and insight.
Annalisa Morgan
We would like to put a spotlight on one of our newest members of our Board Of Directors, Annalisa Morgan. Annalisa Morgan works for Truist bank in Elizabeth City, where she is the Albemarle Area Market President. She brings a plethora of insights on the business community and non- profits in the Albemarle community that are supported by United Way.
Arthur Manigault
Please join us in welcoming Arthur Manigault. Mr. Manigault is the Pastor for Riverside United Methodist in Elizabeth City and Spirit & Truth UMC in Windfall. We are happy to bring someone so willing to help others to the Board of Directors.
